Transition & Permaculture Day, Sat 11 August 2018 at Constable Community Allotment, Constable St, Hull HU3 3DF from 11 am to 4 pm.
This one-day event is a celebration of sustainability and is free to attend. There will be stalls, speakers and workshops and everyone is invited to attend. There will be live music, kid’s activities and pizzas cooked on-site in the cob oven.
Confirmed so far are workshops on ‘Fermented food’, ‘Making rocket stoves’ and ‘Bring your broken tools to be repaired’, plus talks on Permaculture, tours of the allotment including the roundhouse under construction, and a stall where staff from Lush will run ‘Make your own toiletries’. There will also be an interactive exploration of how the ideas of transition and permaculure can be used within the local area.
We are also hoping to have ‘Willow weaving’, ‘Making bug hotels’ and a variety of stalls where local organisations can talk to people about what they do.
Any organisation wanting a stall, which are available free of charge, should contact Lausanne on 07816 141169

This event is being funded by the Permaculture Association as part of their Permaculture Ambassadors project ‘We love living’. The aim is to convince thousands of people to make a myriad of small alterations to their lifestyles that add up to a big change.
